About Red Alaea Salt
Red Alaea Sea Salt has long been used as a traditional seasoning in the Hawaiian Islands. Its bold red color is completely natural and comes from red volcanic Hawaiian clay called Alaea that lined ancient Hawaiian salt ponds. The salt water naturally mixes with the clay giving the salt its incredible color when harvested.
